DELHI / NCR PICKUP · PRIVATE GROUP TRANSPORT
Plan a Delhi to Bihar Tempo Traveller round trip with the actual towns, stay dates and local visits included. Udan Travel Ind Services accepts enquiries for Patna, Gaya–Bodh Gaya, Rajgir–Nalanda, Mithila, Champaran and other Bihar districts. Choose the main region first, then build a practical Delhi-return itinerary for your family, pilgrimage, wedding or company group.

Bihar is too large for one fixed Delhi road distance or a short itinerary covering every attraction. A Patna heritage stay, a Bodh Gaya pilgrimage, a Darbhanga family visit and a Kishanganj wedding need different approaches and service days. The choices below connect places with useful planning decisions; they are not one compulsory statewide tour.
Use Patna as the main base when the group wants a city stay, Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, selected museum visits or a family programme. Patna Sahib lies in the older city, so the permitted drop point, shoe storage and walking need time. Confirm guide language separately if the group wants heritage interpretation. A road driver is not automatically a monument or religious guide.
Hajipur and Vaishali are north of the Ganga and should have their own route and time allowance rather than being treated as stops within a short Patna city loop. The Ashokan pillar area at Kolhua and other selected Vaishali sites can form a separate local day. River crossings, hotel location and city traffic affect the programme.
Gaya and Bodh Gaya serve different visit purposes. A Gaya family may need Vishnupad-area reporting and a priest-arranged ritual schedule; Buddhist guests may prioritise the Mahabodhi Temple and selected monasteries in Bodh Gaya. Confirm the exact site, current visitor eligibility, footwear and security arrangements. Rituals, guides and tickets are separate unless listed in the accepted offer.
Rajgir, Nalanda and Pawapuri need a planned local programme, not a promise to finish every attraction after a long transfer. Allow a proper visit to the Nalanda archaeological remains, a separately chosen Rajgir hill or activity outing and time at Pawapuri’s Jal Mandir. Ropeway, Nature Safari, Zoo Safari and Glass Bridge access have separate tickets, slots and visitor rules. Use the official Rajgir booking information and check operation close to travel.
A Darbhanga or Madhubani booking often includes a family home, wedding venue or village address beyond the city. Give the last accessible road point and the full itinerary, including local event movements on the intervening days. A city-name quote can miss the travel needed between homes, hotels and venues. For an art-focused visit, arrange the specific artisan or venue and its opening independently.
Sitamarhi visits can focus on Punaura Dham, Panth Pakar or another specifically requested shrine. Agree the actual stops and allow for queues and local roads. A Janakpur extension crosses into Nepal: it is not included in a Bihar-only round trip and needs a separately assessed cross-border itinerary, documentation, permits and vehicle suitability. No border access is promised here.
These enquiries work best with the actual town, village and boarding or event pin. Muzaffarpur may be the main stay or a stage towards another northern district; Chhapra in Saran, Siwan and Gopalganj require a different final approach. Choose the route for the final destination instead of making Patna an automatic detour for every Bihar trip.
For wedding guests, list venue reporting, hotel check-in, function finish times and the final return boarding. Confirm how late vehicle standby is needed and whether bags remain in the vehicle. Sonepur or another fair-related visit needs its own current event-date and traffic check. A road booking does not include event admission, accommodation or undefined local shuttles.
East Champaran enquiries may centre on Motihari, Kesariya or a family destination; West Champaran may use Bettiah, Bagaha or Valmikinagar. Plan the overnight base for the actual local visits. A Kesariya heritage stop and a Valmiki-area wildlife programme should not be squeezed into the same short city day merely because both belong to Champaran.
A Delhi Tempo Traveller can be considered for the agreed road transfer to a permitted resort or reporting point. A forest safari requires its own current booking, zone, visitor rules and authorised safari arrangements. The Delhi vehicle is not a promise of entry on a safari track, and a tiger or other animal sighting is never guaranteed. Confirm the actual safari date before fixing the surrounding transfers.
Buxar and Arrah can be principal family destinations or parts of a compatible western Bihar circuit. Sasaram and the Rohtas area can add a selected heritage visit such as Sher Shah Suri’s Tomb when time and access allow. Kaimur enquiries should distinguish Bhabua, Mohania and the actual village or temple approach; they are not the same unloading address.
Mundeshwari or a Rohtas-area fort, hill or waterfall excursion needs its own road, walking and current-access assessment. Do not expect a larger vehicle to reach every trailhead or the doorway of a hill site. For the long Delhi approach, give the final overnight address and avoid adding distant local visits after an exhausting road day.
A Bhagalpur stay can support a separately planned Vikramshila visit near Kahalgaon. Munger, Banka and Jamui involve different approaches and local driving, so name the main base and intended places rather than asking for a single undifferentiated “east Bihar” rate. Check heritage-site visitor arrangements before placing them on a tightly timed return day.
Pilgrimage groups may request a Sultanganj-side or other specific temple programme, while families may need several village or event stops. Share these pins early. A Deoghar/Baidyanath Dham addition is in Jharkhand and needs a revised interstate circuit, extra road time and quote; it is not automatically included because the group is visiting Banka or Bhagalpur.
Kosi and Seemanchal journeys can involve Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Purnea/Purnia, Katihar, Araria or Kishanganj. These are different destinations with different river crossings and last-mile roads. Provide the full property or village pin and identify any stops around the main stay. Ask for staged travel and driver rest rather than assuming a nonstop overnight drive is the standard plan.
The return from eastern Bihar needs the same planning attention as the outward journey. Allow time to gather the group, load bags and reach the agreed highway approach. During heavy rain, local waterlogging or changed river-road access can affect the last stretch even when the main corridor is open. Have the local host confirm the usable unloading point close to departure.
There is no single road distance to “Bihar”. These broad city-approach ranges are preliminary planning estimates, not live navigation, billable totals or promised arrival times. Final distances depend on the Delhi/NCR pickup, chosen corridor, city or village endpoint, overnight stops and local circuit. Ask for the mapped route before accepting the quotation.
| Main endpoint | Approximate Delhi road approach | Transfer-day guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Patna | 1,000–1,150 km | Plan two staged driving days in each direction with a confirmed overnight halt. |
| Gaya / Bodh Gaya | 1,000–1,150 km | Plan two staged days; the chosen stopover and final approach differ from a Patna arrival. |
| Muzaffarpur / Darbhanga | 1,000–1,200 km | Allow two staged days and verify the northern corridor and local road. |
| Bhagalpur / Purnea side | 1,200–1,450 km | Allow at least two staged days; add a third if the selected daily driving limits require it. |
A central or southern Bihar approach may use the Agra–Lucknow–Purvanchal Expressway side and then the agreed eastern Uttar Pradesh/Bihar connection, or a different road via Kanpur–Prayagraj–Varanasi. A north Bihar journey may use the Gorakhpur-side corridor before the relevant district approach. These are route families, not a guaranteed road sequence: confirm the selected road, toll basis and current works or restrictions for your exact destination.
For a Patna or Bodh Gaya approach, allow roughly 20–26 hours of driving in total before generous breaks, depending on the selected route and conditions. Divide it into agreed stages; it is not a recommendation to drive continuously. Longer eastern endpoints need more time. The stopover hotel, driver rest or staffing plan, departure window and next-day reporting should be settled before travel.
The rental calculation should include Delhi departure, the full Bihar programme, local movements, agreed waiting days and the return to Delhi. Any reporting-base kilometres or daily minimum must be explained. Add a buffer before a flight, train or fixed commitment after the NCR return; do not rely on the shortest online map time.
Use these as starting outlines, then confirm actual driving stages and site opening for your dates. A family-home stay can need a different number of local days from a heritage tour. None of the plans includes every Bihar region.
| Option | Suggested shape | What to agree |
|---|---|---|
| 7 days / 6 nights: Patna-focused | Days 1–2 staged approach; days 3–5 Patna and selected compatible visits; days 6–7 staged Delhi return. | Name the outward and return halt towns and the exact city or family programme. |
| 9 days / 8 nights: Bodh Gaya–Rajgir–Nalanda–Patna | Days 1–2 staged arrival at Bodh Gaya; day 3 Bodh Gaya/Gaya; day 4 Rajgir transfer and selected visit; day 5 Nalanda or Pawapuri; day 6 Patna transfer; day 7 Patna; days 8–9 staged return. | Choose the religious focus, room nights, site priorities and feasible transfers; do not book every attraction into day 5. |
| 7–10 days: Mithila family / temple journey | Staged approach to the main family base, named local dates around Darbhanga/Madhubani or Sitamarhi, then staged return. | Event reporting, village access, luggage, local duty and final return boarding. |
| Eastern Bihar or a longer multi-region circuit | Set the final endpoint first; allocate outward/return stages and only then add local stay days. | Use enough days for the agreed daily driving limits; a short heritage itinerary is not a template for Kishanganj. |
For the nine-day heritage outline, an example night split is one approach halt, two nights at Bodh Gaya, two around Rajgir, two at Patna and one return halt. This is a proposed pattern, not a pre-booked package. The final road assessment may require another travel day; hotel inclusion and availability are confirmed separately.
Long-distance comfort depends on the actual passengers, bags, cabin layout and daily travel plan. Compare the listed vehicle cards, then confirm approved passenger capacity separately from the driver. Category labels and passenger counts are not always the same; do not fill a vehicle using only the headline label.

For a 12-seater, 16-seater or larger Tempo Traveller enquiry, share adult and child counts and describe full-size suitcases, cabin bags and any bulky items. Keep aisles and exits clear. Request any essential feature and confirm that it is present on the offered vehicle. Actual available vehicle photos and the seating layout will be shared on WhatsApp or email before booking confirmation.
You can enquire for a round-trip programme involving any of Bihar’s 38 districts. Availability, road suitability and the written itinerary must be confirmed; this does not promise direct vehicle access to every village, ghat or building. Use the nearest town and the complete destination pin, not only the district name.
| District | Example town / area to identify | Useful detail for your enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Kaimur | Bhabua / Mohania | Confirm the town or temple entrance and whether the last road suits the offered vehicle. |
| Rohtas | Sasaram / Dehri-on-Sone | Name heritage stops separately and check any hill or fort approach before adding it. |
| Buxar | Buxar / Dumraon | Separate a family address from a ghat visit and allow for town loading. |
| Bhojpur | Arrah / Jagdishpur | Share village and function pins plus the time needed for local event movements. |
| Patna | Patna / Danapur / Barh | Choose the actual stay; old-city sightseeing and distant family addresses need different local runs. |
| Nalanda | Bihar Sharif / Rajgir / Nalanda | List heritage visits, activity bookings and overnight bases instead of a single all-sights day. |
| Gaya | Gaya / Bodh Gaya / Sherghati | Distinguish rituals, Buddhist visits and the family endpoint; confirm site-specific access. |
| Jehanabad | Jehanabad / Barabar approach | Add a cave or hill visit only with separate walking and vehicle-access planning. |
| Arwal | Arwal / local family address | Provide the complete host pin, usable road and any wedding venue transfers. |
| Aurangabad | Aurangabad / Daudnagar | Specify the overnight or event address and additional local use before the Delhi return. |
| Nawada | Nawada / Rajauli | Confirm the main destination and assess any waterfall or remote outing separately. |
| Sheikhpura | Sheikhpura / Barbigha | List the exact boarding, stay and function addresses to avoid unnecessary circuit changes. |
| Saran | Chhapra / Sonepur | Allow for bridge approaches, local event traffic and the actual return boarding point. |
| Siwan | Siwan / Maharajganj | Identify the village or venue beyond town and keep function standby hours explicit. |
| Gopalganj | Gopalganj / Mirganj | Choose the final address and quote planned local movements rather than an undefined town drop. |
| East Champaran | Motihari / Kesariya / Raxaul | Confirm the main base; a border-town visit does not authorise travel into Nepal. |
| West Champaran | Bettiah / Bagaha / Valmikinagar | Keep road transfers, forest accommodation and authorised safari bookings as separate arrangements. |
| Muzaffarpur | Muzaffarpur / local blocks | Share exact hotel and village pins; plan the next district only if included in the circuit. |
| Vaishali | Hajipur / Vaishali | Separate the city stay from archaeological visits and allow the relevant river crossing. |
| Sitamarhi | Sitamarhi / Punaura area | Name the shrines and family addresses; any cross-border extension needs a separate assessment. |
| Sheohar | Sheohar / local destination | Have the host confirm the last accessible road, unloading space and return reporting time. |
| Darbhanga | Darbhanga / Benipur area | Arrange hotel, temple and family visits around the real gate and local driving times. |
| Madhubani | Madhubani / Jainagar / Benipatti | Provide village or artisan-visit pins and confirm any meeting before scheduling transport. |
| Samastipur | Samastipur / Dalsinghsarai / Rosera | State each local stop and its date rather than quoting the district as one address. |
| Begusarai | Begusarai / Barauni | Separate station, family and venue movements; coordinate luggage with the actual arrival time. |
| Khagaria | Khagaria / Gogri | Confirm the usable approach and local bridge or road advice from the receiving host. |
| Munger | Munger / Jamalpur | List the selected city visits and property entrance so local service days can be priced. |
| Lakhisarai | Lakhisarai / Suryagarha | Specify town or village reporting and any intermediate family stops on the agreed circuit. |
| Jamui | Jamui / Chakai / Lachhuar area | Check the exact religious or family endpoint and assess narrower final roads in advance. |
| Bhagalpur | Bhagalpur / Kahalgaon / Sultanganj | Give each outing its own road time; Vikramshila is not a walk from a Bhagalpur hotel. |
| Banka | Banka / Bounsi area | Name temple and family stops; a Jharkhand extension changes the interstate itinerary. |
| Saharsa | Saharsa / Simri Bakhtiarpur | Plan the approach, host-confirmed local road and a realistic staged Delhi return. |
| Madhepura | Madhepura / Udakishunganj | Identify the final village or event pin and account for local travel between stay days. |
| Supaul | Supaul / Nirmali / Triveniganj | Confirm the chosen crossing and last-mile access rather than assuming nearby towns share one approach. |
| Purnea | Purnea / Purnia | Choose staged transfer days and the exact town or village endpoint for this longer journey. |
| Katihar | Katihar / Barsoi | Allow for the specific district approach and local loading points; avoid a rushed return deadline. |
| Araria | Araria / Forbesganj | Confirm accommodation and village access plus all intervening event or family movements. |
| Kishanganj | Kishanganj / Thakurganj | Discuss overnight stages and the full return schedule; extensions beyond Bihar need a revised quote. |
If your exact village is not named, include its map pin and a local contact who can confirm road width, turning space and the nearest safe loading point. Name every overnight stop and which passengers return together to Delhi. Separate departures or additional states need a revised vehicle and itinerary plan.
List hotel and home addresses, function timings, local runs, late standby and the final return. A vehicle retained for several quiet stay days still needs an agreed service and duty plan.
Choose the shrines, ritual dates and guide language. Pitripaksha, Chhath and other busy occasions can change queues, traffic and last-mile access; follow local directions.
Give the organiser, venue gates, reporting windows and trip responsibilities. Passenger eligibility, permissions and any group supervision are the organiser’s separate arrangements.
Allow baggage collection and a practical meeting window. Provide every NCR pickup and bag count; do not start a long interstate itinerary from an unrealistically tight flight connection.
Cooler months can be more comfortable for temple, archaeological and city walks. Winter fog can slow long highway stages, so keep flexible departure windows. Summer requires water, shade and shorter exposed visits. Monsoon rain or local flooding can affect village approaches and river activities; ask the receiving host about current access and keep reserve time. Weather, wildlife sightings and activity operation are not guaranteed.
Select accommodation around the main programme: a practical Patna base for city visits, a Bodh Gaya stay for Buddhist sites, a Rajgir base for the selected Nalanda-area circuit, or a hotel close to the family or event destination in north or east Bihar. Confirm room sharing, meals, check-in/check-out and parking in the hotel offer. A transport enquiry does not automatically reserve rooms.
Ghats, old-town temples, monastery areas, archaeological remains and hill sites can require walking, steps, local transport or security checks. Tell us about walking preferences and ask the property or site about actual assistance. Guides, porters, wheelchairs, boats, rituals and authorised safari vehicles are not included merely because they are mentioned in a route plan.
Request a personalised written quotation rather than relying on a displayed per-kilometre rate. Compare the same dates, category, service days, local route and Delhi return. A low headline number does not explain the full journey or the expenses that may be extra.
| Quote item | Confirm before payment |
|---|---|
| Vehicle and route | Actual category, passenger seats, bags, pickup points, all Bihar stops and Delhi return. |
| Service and distance basis | Fixed itinerary total or explained kilometre/day basis, daily minimum, reporting-base distance, waiting and extra-use conditions. |
| Driver and road expenses | Fuel basis, driver allowance and overnight arrangements, tolls, parking, permits and applicable taxes marked included or extra. |
| Other travel services | Hotels, meals, guides, entry tickets, activities, safaris, local vehicles and rituals only when expressly agreed. |
| Booking terms | Quote currency, advance and balance schedule, cancellation, rescheduling, route changes and disruption terms in writing. |
For a multi-day family stay, clarify whether the vehicle remains at the Bihar base, which local outings are included and when duty begins or ends each day. Ask for the full return total even if the group spends several days at one home. The quotation should make the total payable and any remaining extras clear before you confirm.
Send the complete outward, local and return plan. If your itinerary is not fixed, name the main Bihar base and the number of days available; ask for a practical route before choosing the vehicle.
Yes. This page is for a vehicle booked from Delhi/NCR for the agreed Bihar programme and return to Delhi. One-side or one-way drops are not offered here. Share both departure and return dates before requesting a quote.
Request a complete itinerary quote. The Bihar endpoint, number of service days, local visits, actual vehicle and Delhi return affect the total. Confirm the billing basis, taxes, tolls, parking, permits, driver expenses and extra-use conditions in writing.
You can request a Patna stay and the specific local visits you want, plus the Delhi return. Add hotel and family pins, Patna Sahib or museum visits and any north-bank extension so the quotation covers the actual service.
Yes, as a properly staged circuit with named overnight bases and separate visiting time. Keep Gaya ritual arrangements, Buddhist visits, archaeological sites and Rajgir activities clear rather than promising every place in one day.
Enquiries can specify any of the 38 districts listed on this page, with the exact town or village pin. Service depends on actual vehicle availability, road suitability, itinerary and a confirmed quote; the listing does not guarantee doorway access everywhere.
Allow roughly 1,000–1,150 km for the main road approach depending on the chosen corridor and endpoints. Plan two transfer days with an agreed overnight halt rather than treating a very long nonstop drive as the default. The final mapped route sets the working estimate.
Request the category with the actual passengers and luggage. Confirm approved passenger seating separately from the driver, the offered cabin layout, storage and the final hotel or village road. A category name is not a complete capacity statement.
Ask for the listed category and provide the full group details. Confirm the actual approved passenger capacity, baggage arrangement, availability and road access before paying; larger groups may need a different vehicle plan.
Transport and guiding are separate roles. Request a local guide, preferred language, meeting point and duration explicitly. Priests, ritual assistance, tickets, boats, safaris and activity instructors are separate unless the offer lists them.
Only if separately specified and confirmed. Check the official booking, current operation, visitor eligibility and permitted local transport. A road vehicle booking alone does not provide forest access or an attraction slot.
Yes, subject to the agreed itinerary and duty plan. List all stay days, local runs, event gates, late reporting, waiting and the final return. Retaining the vehicle is a service arrangement, even on days with limited driving.
Not under an unchanged Bihar-only quote. Nepal requires a separately assessed cross-border programme and documentation; Deoghar is in Jharkhand and changes the interstate itinerary. Request a revised route and terms.
Give the exact date, ghat or ritual location and local host contact. Traffic controls, queues, walking and accommodation demand can change the programme. Confirm the permitted unloading and return meeting point close to the visit.
Only the written offer decides inclusions. Ask for a clear transport total, its fuel or distance basis and each driver, road and tax item marked included or extra. Hotels, meals and other travel services need their own explicit inclusion.
Provide each address and the boarding order. NCR pickups and airport waiting change reporting time, route and service. An airport pickup for this trip still needs the agreed Bihar itinerary and return to Delhi.
A form draft or availability request is not a reservation. Confirm the offered vehicle, route, dates, total and terms, complete the agreed payment steps and retain the operator’s written booking acknowledgement.
Booking support: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (India time). Send your enquiry any time; our team will respond during office hours.
