The two Ranthambore nights are the reason to choose this extension. They allow an arrival evening, a dedicated safari day and an unhurried departure. A hotel reservation is not a safari permit; confirm the actual forest booking before fixing a non-refundable travel plan.
Safari permits, passenger identity details, shift, zone and authorised safari vehicle must be confirmed separately. Your road-tour car, Tempo Traveller or Urbania does not enter the forest as the safari vehicle. A tiger sighting is never guaranteed.
This is a suggested private itinerary, not a dated departure or a confirmed inventory offer. Tell us what you most want to see, the time you have in India and how much walking feels comfortable. A shorter attraction list with sensible hotel nights is often more useful than a programme that promises every stop.

Agra beyond one photograph
Allow time for Taj Mahal security and walking, then choose Agra Fort or another agreed visit. Keep the Taj visit on a day other than Friday.
Forest and Pink City
Treat the safari as a guided forest activity and Jaipur as a separate city stay. Two different experiences need different footwear, departure times and expectations.
Suggested 7-day itinerary
The sequence is an example. Arrival time, weekly closures, the confirmed transport services and hotel availability can change the order. The final proposal should show each overnight city, transfer, activity and departure arrangement.
Day 1 · Delhi arrival and a light city introduction
Overnight: Delhi
Meet at the confirmed airport terminal or hotel. Allow for immigration, baggage collection and the drive to your accommodation before agreeing to sightseeing. If you arrive early enough, choose a limited New Delhi visit or a guided Old Delhi outing, not both in a rush.
Check-in follows the property policy. A room ready immediately after an early flight requires an agreed early check-in or an additional night. Keep dinner close to the hotel and save energy for the circuit.
Day 2 · Delhi to Agra
Overnight: Agra
After breakfast, load luggage and travel to Agra. Use the afternoon for Agra Fort if the agreed arrival and opening conditions allow it. A Mehtab Bagh visit can be considered separately if useful for the light and the group’s energy.
Keep the Taj Mahal for the following morning unless the calendar requires a revised order. Ask the hotel about breakfast timing and leave large luggage at the accommodation during the monument visit.
Day 3 · Taj Mahal and onward to Ranthambore
Overnight: Ranthambore
Visit the Taj Mahal early on a permitted visiting day. Return for breakfast and checkout, then continue towards Sawai Madhopur. If Fatehpur Sikri is essential, agree its time allowance in advance and expect a later hotel arrival.
The transfer is a substantial part of the day. Do not attach an afternoon safari to an uncertain arrival. Settle into the hotel and reconfirm the next day’s reporting, identity document and collection arrangement.
Day 4 · Dedicated safari day
Overnight: Ranthambore
Take the confirmed safari shift in an authorised forest vehicle. A second shift can be requested only if permits, seats and the budget allow it. Forest conditions and sightings vary; the experience includes habitat, birds and other wildlife as well as the possibility of a tiger.
Keep the middle of the day free for meals and rest. Tell the organiser about mobility needs before booking: safari boarding and uneven tracks may be uncomfortable, and a category name alone does not establish suitability.
Day 5 · Ranthambore to Jaipur
Overnight: Jaipur
After breakfast, leave for Jaipur and check into the agreed hotel. Depending on arrival, choose an easy market walk or a short exterior photo stop rather than a complete fort programme.
Abhaneri is a separate detour, not a routine stop on the direct transfer. If requested, revise distance, driving time and sightseeing scope before accepting the quotation.
Day 6 · Jaipur sightseeing
Overnight: Jaipur
Start with Amber Palace, then return towards the city for a selected combination of City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Decide whether Hawa Mahal is an exterior stop or an interior visit so the guide and tickets match your expectations.
Allow a lunch break and time for walking between sites. Shopping is optional; state whether you prefer markets, a craft demonstration or no shopping stops. Entry fees and any local access vehicle are separately itemised.
Day 7 · Jaipur to Delhi and final drop

Check out and travel to the agreed Delhi hotel or airport. Keep the day focused on the transfer rather than promising additional monuments before a flight.
For an international departure, work backwards from the airline’s reporting requirement and add road and airport buffers. An extra Delhi night may be a better choice than a tight same-day connection.

For Ranthambore, compare stays around Sawai Madhopur and the Ranthambore Road area against your assigned safari reporting point. An attractive property far from reporting can add an early start. Ask whether breakfast is packed for a morning safari, what time the vehicle collects you, and whether the hotel has step-free access where needed.
Ask for the actual property and room category, not just a star label. State whether you need one double bed or twin beds, an extra bed, connecting rooms, a lift or a step-free route. Breakfast, early check-in, late checkout and cancellation conditions vary by property and must be confirmed. A destination photograph does not promise a particular hotel, view or room.

Can we use our Urbania inside Ranthambore National Park?
No road-tour vehicle is presented here as a forest safari vehicle. The safari needs the authorised vehicle and arrangements confirmed for your permit.
Can we add Fatehpur Sikri or Abhaneri?
Fatehpur Sikri can lengthen the Agra transfer day. Abhaneri needs a separate detour from the Ranthambore–Jaipur plan. Ask for revised timings and costs before confirmation.
Are hotels, meals, tickets and guides automatically included?
No. Choose transport only or request a quotation for selected additional services. The accepted written offer must name the hotels and room categories, meal plan, guide language, tickets, transfers and any activity permits.
Can the itinerary change around a Friday Taj Mahal closure?
Yes. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays for general viewing. Reorder the city nights or the Agra visit before confirming dated bookings. Opening and security notices should be checked again close to travel.
Will our driver also guide us inside monuments?
Do not assume this. The driver manages transport and reporting; a separately confirmed local guide provides sightseeing interpretation. Request your preferred guide language and confirm availability and fees.
