Gangotri temple operation and the road programme follow seasonal and official arrangements. A Harsil winter stay and a Gangotri temple visit are different bookings. Verify dates before reserving accommodation or committing to the extension.
Give the body a gentler schedule
The higher part of the journey needs a comfortable pace. Share mobility concerns before booking and seek personalised medical advice where needed. Transport staff cannot assess fitness or guarantee a traveller’s response to altitude.
Confirm registration and identity requirements
Use current Uttarakhand government instructions for pilgrimage registration and documents. Keep required identity details with the travellers. Do not send passport or identity scans through the general enquiry form.
Keep weather and road buffers
Snow, heavy rain, poor visibility, road work or official traffic controls can delay, shorten or stop a sector. Do not insist on driving through unsafe visibility. Keep essential medicines and a small overnight bag accessible in case the stay plan changes.

Is Gangotri included throughout the year?
No. The extension depends on seasonal temple operation, road access and official instructions. Request a Harsil-only alternative where appropriate.
How many nights does this sample use?
Five nights: one in Uttarkashi before Harsil, three in Harsil and one in Uttarkashi on return. Hotels are booked separately unless itemised.
Can an Urbania take us directly to the temple entrance?
The vehicle uses only the permitted approach and parking. Travellers must plan the remaining walking or locally available assistance separately.
Is yatra registration included in transport hire?
Do not assume so. Confirm the current official process and who completes it. A vehicle reservation is not a substitute for any required registration.
Will the air-conditioning run on every hill sector?
Confirm vehicle operation for the route. Air-conditioning use can be restricted on hill sections and must not be treated as an uninterrupted guarantee.
Can we add Kedarnath or Badrinath?
