Delhi to Dharamshala & McLeodganj: road route, distance and travel time
Delhi → Panipat → Karnal → Ambala → Rupnagar → Una → Kangra → Dharamshala / McLeodganj
Allow approximately 470–520 km one way and 11–14 hours for the road transfer as a planning range. Delhi/NCR pickup location, traffic, comfort stops, roadworks and the exact hotel or gate can move the distance and arrival time outside this range.

Day 3 — Bhagsu or a lower-valley outing
Choose a Bhagsu-area visit with an optional waterfall walk, or a slower lower-Dharamshala outing. The waterfall approach is not suitable for every traveller and can be slippery. Do not present a Triund trek as a routine sightseeing stop.
Day 4 — Early checkout and Delhi
Begin the return around 07:30–08:30 after breakfast where practical. Leave time for the hill descent and breaks. Keep the whole day for transfer and avoid a long morning detour.
